Museu Nacional de Belas Artes

Some inspiration in a busy day

This week has been a little crazy! A lot of family matters to deal, a detox diet to follow,  besides the regular busy routine of a 5-year-old-boy mom.

So I’m sorry to say that I’m a little bit stressed this week.

But yesterday, after solving some issues in downtown Rio, I decided I deserved some moments for myself. So I headed to Museu Nacional de Belas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts, in Rio) and paid a visit to the exhibition  “A Herança do Sagrado” (“The Legacy of the Sacred”).  This large exhibition presents works of art from the Vatican Museums, from other Vatican institutions and from museums of various regions of Italy.

To me, that has never been to Italy yet , was a great opportunity of seeing masterpieces by great artists like Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Caravaggio . But it was not only that, I got a little emotive watching this exhibition, some of the works of art really touched me, like the replica of Michelangelo’s Pietá.

After enjoying the exhibition I stopped to take some photos in  the Museum.

When I left I felt like my batteries were recharged and my inspiration recovered!
